To find Seaton Museum from Fisherman's Gap look inland and the main high street is not quite dead ahead, more to the right and sort of dead ahead.
So cross the road and head over towards the shops you can see on the road more or less opposite.

On your way you will pass The Vault pub that used to be a bank and what was a large cafe and the banking hub (nobody ever in there except staff) that used to be Woolworths.
Heading up Fore Street Seaton
From the bottom the road starts off as Marine Place then forks and ahead is Fore Street and to the left is Queen Street and to right (really straight on) if Fore Street. What is nice is the whole area is pedestrinised although you do need to keep your wits about you as quite a few cars seem to come down the roads!
Heading up the "Main" street that is Fore Street you will pass a number of retail units and at the top, where the road becomes a road with traffic keep right on to the pavement and after about 30 yards, and just past The Gateway theatre you will find Seaton Museum.

What is In Seaton Museum?

"The museum concentrates on the lower Axe Valley and also includes the adjacent villages of Beer, Axmouth, Branscombe, Colyton and Colyford. Seaton museum is renowned for it's excellent collection of old photographs of the area.
These come mainly from the E.S. Gosling collection. Other displays include the Roman site at Honeyditches, the natural history of the area and a display of Victorian costumes."

Entry is FREE. It is open Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. until 4 pm usually from March to October.
Becauase there are no paid staff occasionally they are not open when stated and it is up a flight of stairs!
